BEZOAR IBEX
With the largest horn-to-body size ratio of all ibex species and its pronounced coloration, the Bezoar is Turkey’s flagship species. Some Bezoar territories historically produce higher quality trophies than others, and consequently, 3 levels of permits and a 3-tiered hunt pricing model aligned to each territory’s potential has evolved. We'll explain the dynamics of hunting permit auctions when you inquire.
HYBRID/NEMRUT & COASTAL IBEX
These are Bezoar variants that provide additional scope for Capra collectors. Each inhabits a unique locale – the Adiyaman region for the former and the hilly Mediterranean coast for the latter.
KONYA MOUFLON
This attractively marked sheep with its sweeping horns is native to the rolling hills and steppes of the Bozdag Mountains near Konya, Nallıhan near Ankara, and Karaman in the Taurus Mountains. Permits are extremely limited to less than a handful or two annually.
ANATOLIAN CHAMOIS
Like all chamois, they are highly watchful and alert and often post a sentinel in herds to guard against predators. Usually less than 20 permits are issued by the wildlife authorities annually. Despite their diminutive size, they are a worthy mountain trophy that can be hunted singly or in combination with other species.
MID-EASTERN RED DEER
A hunt for the royal Anatolian Stag during the “roar” presents one of the most thrilling experiences in the hunting world. These noble stags can produce extraordinary mass with some main beams terminating in cupping or branching of crown points, making them a stunning trophy.
WILD BOAR
Turkey’s “Attila” subspecies are the largest boar in the world. Minimal hunting by locals has enabled the boar population to expand exponentially. Both driven and stalking hunts are available year-round.
